What do customers want from travel websites?

Today, eConsultancy published a report stating that 53% of UK consumers research and buy holidays online, though many could be deterred by unclear pricing.

Other points worth a mention are:

  • The internet is involved in almost 85% of holiday purchases (highlighting the importance of the web for travel agents)
  • 59% said photos of the destination & accommodation help them to choose a holiday
  • 58% of respondents found reviews useful
  • 64% would abandon a travel purchase due to unclear and hidden pricing
