Poll shows Facebook friends’ holiday pictures offer travel advertiser opportunities

According to Travolution, a recent Skyscanner poll has found that 52% of people who saw pictures of friends on holiday via Facebook were inspired to book a holiday at the same place.

The survey also found that 45% of those surveyed said that the pictures encouraged them to visit friends who were already travelling.

Another interesting figure showed that 46% of people either organise or have been invited on a trip via Facebook – again highlighting the need for the travel industry to really embrace and invest in social media.

All of this reconfirms that Facebook is an even more attractive platform for targeted travel advertising.
